Summary:
Once upon a time, in the United Kingdom, there lived a brother and a sister who were not at all alike. They fought and argued constantly. One morning they discovered a tunnel, which changed them forever. When they returned to the real world, it was with acceptance of each other.
Reason for choosing the book:
The Tunnel has been produced by one of the UK’s most talented authors/ illustrators and, due to this, tells an amazing visual story with embedded images to which all children will be able to relate. Set within the British culture, it has a somewhat mysterious universal theme concerning sibling rivalry, fear of the unknown and the importance of brotherly/sisterly love.
